Well, like it or not, I’m a serial entrepreneur at heart. My recent two companies include, Ping Identity and Digital ID World, which both focus on emerging trends in digital identity for consumers and the enterprise. Prior to Ping Identity, I founded Jabber, Inc., an instant messaging software company built upon Jeremie Miller’s brilliance with Jabber open source. While at Jabber, I supported the incubation of the Jabber Software Foundation, a non-profit setup to facilitate growth of the Jabber Open Source project. Prior to Jabber, I founded Durand Communications out of college with friends Bryan Field-Elliot and Craig Wirths. Durand Communications was a software company focused on bulletin boards and online databases. I served as CEO of Durand Communications for five years before selling the company to Webb Interactive in 1998. In 1998 I moved to Denver from Santa Barbara where I met my wife, Kim Durand. I now reside in Denver with my wife and two children, Parker and Samantha. |
